Tom: I just love what you did… you just wrote your fantasy…

Simon: This thing is about Skins is, it wasn’t my childhood at all. They were 15 and 16 year olds having sex and taking ecstasy… the most dangerous thing I did at that age was the macarena. So I wrote like 3 key scenes, and in one of them I got Tony, the main, cool, heterosexual character to… er pleasue orally the gay character because thats the kind of guy he is- ’ oh he’s wild and crazy, he can do anything’. So I thought, allright, he can do this then. And the gay character pulls Nicholas Hoult’s head up during this thing thats happening and says “oh. so your not that good at everything then.”

So I hand this in to the main writer who says to me… I think he would be good at that. What?! Why?! Why would he possibly be good at that??So that was my experience for writing for Skins.
